Roaring Fork Mill, located in Carbondale, CO, is a family-owned small-batch stone mill sourcing local CO heritage grains. Our millstones grind at a slow speed and cool temperature, preserving the nutrient-rich germ and crushing it into the starchy endosperm of the flour. This process spreads oil through, adding additional nutrient density anf flavor. Most modern mills e,mploy industrial roller mill technology, separating the ran and germ from the endosperm and stripping away nutrients and flarore in replacement for speed. We believe in regenerating soil, healthier food and supporting community.
