Nestled in the beautiful Black Canyon Creek area of Estes Park, our Ranch has remained a showplace of early life among settlers and homesteaders in Colorado Territory. Founded in 1873 by Alexander and Clara MacGregor the Ranch then passed to their son, Donald, and his wife, Maude, and finally, to their only child, Muriel Lurilla MacGregor. Muriel left her ranch in a trust after her death in 1970 to be preserved as an active cattle ranch with net proceeds from the ranch and cattle operations to be used for charitable or educational purposes. MacGregor beef is 100% grass fed and grass finished. Allowed to graze and grow naturally, with no additional hormones or steroids, on lush pastures and high mountain meadows, our cattle are worth the wait! They are no doubt in high demand and limited quantity, so we encourage you to place your order early. Processing dates available in January and June each year. Enjoy responsibly raised beef and take the opportunity to learn more about our methods on the Ranch. Visit the MacGregor Ranch and tour our historic area, a nationally registered historic site, and our museum, created in one of the original MacGregor homes built in 1896. Explore the home of the three generations of MacGregor's who settled, homesteaded, and developed the land to become the Ranch that provided for their family and the town. Built in the 1800's the MacGregor's facilitated many avenues of growth for the town of Estes Park and its other influential members.  Tour the historic homestead June through October each year, and discover history never gets old.
